As a collaboration with The Creative Group and Pivot Public Relations, Traveling Brand's new site gives a better online presence to the top-quality services the business offers.

MB Property Management Redesign

The original MB Property Management website was developed years ago. Since then, web design standards and practices have changed greatly. With this overhaul, I was able to bring a fresh look on top of a robust, responsive wireframe. The updated listing pages allow for on-demand filtering.

A new express car wash in Belmont wanted a bright, vibrant site to herald its grand opening in the summer of 2015. The site is mobile friendly and optimized for Google search results.

As an industry leader for interior design and products for designers, this client wanted to create a site to bring exclusive deals to other designers. The resulting site includes a lead box for email subscriptions and an e-commerce setup for quick and easy purchasing. The site is also set up to grow with the company, including a multiple site management interface that will allow the client to manage several websites with one administrative control panel despite any number of domain names and separate site setups.

Council for Children’s Rights

I connected with the Council for Children's Rights through SHARE Charlotte, an organization that connects professionals to the local non-profits who could benefit from their skills.

The original Council for Children's Rights website was built in Wordpress, but it was outdated and structurally inefficient. They sought a way to easily accept online donations.

The new Wordpress site includes WooCommerce for donations. It is responsive and optimized for search engines.

Catholic Boys High School

Collaborating with a local boutique firm, I developed the back end and code for this site using wireframes developed by the firm's in-house designer.

The site includes quite a few custom-built developments, including a responsive, highly visual home page. The site has more than a dozen content channels, allowing different administrative users to access specific sections of site content. The site also features a half dozen custom calendars with ticket sales and free event RSVPs.

New! The site design was restructured in May 2014 to be responsive. The improvement makes it easier to browse the site on a variety of devices, from mobile phones to large desktops.

Construction Company

Collaborating with a local boutique firm, this site was a challenge. Literally. The firm's designer handed me the design wireframe and asked, "Can you build this?"

The site features a responsive design that detects mobile devices to display a more appropriate home page. It incorporates customized headers multiple channels of content.

MB Property Management

The clients weren't happy with the service they received for their former website and approached me for advice on how to move forward. Rather than transfer the existing design, we developed a brighter, more sophisticated site. The site includes an easier system for browsing available properties, and is designed to grow with the boutique real estate firm and property management company.

Union Grove General Store

Union Grove General Store enlisted my help to develop a fully interactive and functional ecommerce site for its Case XX Knives. Its existing site (on the right) had a Google Checkout store, which users found cumbersome.

As part of a branding overhaul, which included a new logo, the existing site was completely redesigned using Wordpress and WooCommerce. Not only is the new site easier for users to navigate, it is also easier for the owner to update inventory and specials.

Bradley Construction Group

Bradley Construction Group, based in Charlotte and Raleigh, sought a modern look for their website overhaul. Having recently remodeled their mill-style offices in Charlotte, leaders wanted the website to reflect the old-made-new feel.

The site, built in Expression Engine as part of a collaboration with MONA Group, gives the high-end construction company a strong web presence.

Lockers Unlimited

Lockers Unlimited, Inc., has been a longstanding client and was in need of a website facelift. The former site,, was originally an attempt by the Charlotte-based locker and storage company to create an online presence for B2B communication.

Carmel Presbyterian Children’s Ministry

As part of the Community Builder Program, Carmel Presbyterian Church in Charlotte sought a webpage specifically for its children's ministry. Seeing the growing need of the ministry, we instead build a separate site in the church's Expression Engine setup. This allows the church to share a single member database across multiple domains.

The site has been optimized for mobile users to quickly find information on-the-go. Rather than maintaining a separate mobile site or app, the site detects the mobile user's device and makes the page information easier to view.

The Chicken Fountain's first website was a do-it-yourself program from a popular website hosting company. Keeping costs low, I customized a Wordpress site with an agricultural theme that was both funky and rural.

Positive Impact for Kids

Twelve-year-old Leanne formed a non-profit organization to improve the lives of children and teens receiving medical treatment across the U.S. Leanne needed a logo design and website to centralize her campaign efforts. This logo features Leanne's criteria that the graphic be fun yet professional, cheerful and caring. As part of the new branding, the graphic can be used in a variety of colors from the organization's new color palette.

The website launched in the spring of 2012. To keep costs low for the non-profit, the site was built using a customized version of a Wordpress theme.

Durma USA

Charlotte- and Los Angeles-based SCA Durma sought a full multimedia overhaul, including its website. The old site ran dozens of static HTML pages, which were hard to update and even harder to track.

The new site is built in the content management system ExpressionEngine, and allows not only product searches, but categorization and robust features such as mailing lists. The website is one facet of the multimedia overhaul, which also included datasheet redesigns, video editing, copy editing, Excel pricing sheet formulas, Excel specification chart conversions, and photo manipulation.

The new site allows easier, on-demand website updates and RSS capabilities.

Harris Morrison Company

Harris Morrison Company, a Concord-based real estate development firm, was unhappy with its static HTML website. The owners wanted to give a more professional, corporate appearance to their site - one that you would see and think that it could be a national firm rather than a local company. Along with those directions, the owner wished to keep the green used in signage. The new site, built in the content management system ExpressionEngine, allows the owners to update their featured properties, as well as update the site with news or press releases.

KIPP Charlotte

KIPP Charlotte is a tuition-free, open-enrollment college preparatory middle school that serves those traditionally underserved or marginalized in education. Their former site was built using HTML pages, which required coding knowledge to update. The new site, built in the content management system ExpressionEngine, allows the school to update the news feed much like a blog. It includes a news RSS feed and a search function.

The Old Creamery

Concord-based Harris Morrison Co. needed to revamp its website for The Old Creamery building. The new site, built in content management system ExpressionEngine, incorporates the retro historic feel of the Concord Creamery and old Coca-Cola buildings with the modernized designs of the building renovations.
